What exactly is a crypto credit card gateway?
It's a payment system that lets you accept normal credit card payments from customers but receive the money as cryptocurrency. With PayLio, every Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay payment gets converted into USDC and sent to your Polygon wallet automatically.
How does the fiat-to-crypto on-ramp work?
Your customer pays with their credit card or mobile wallet like they normally would. On our end, we handle the conversion and send USDC to your Polygon wallet. The whole thing takes less than 30 seconds from payment to payout.
Can my customers pay directly in crypto?
Yes. Besides card payments, PayLio processes direct crypto payments in USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL and other coins on 15 networks, including Ethereum, Tron, Solana, BNB Chain, Polygon, Base and Arbitrum. The checkout shows a deposit address and the exact amount to send, we confirm the payment on-chain, and it is forwarded to your payout wallet automatically. Direct crypto needs a free PayLio account.
Do I need to verify my identity or create an account?
Not for card payments. Our Payment Link Generator lets you create invoice-ready payment links without signing up or going through any identity verification (KYC). Just paste your USDC wallet address, pick an amount, and share the link. You can start receiving USDC payouts immediately, and create a free account later for direct crypto payments, the dashboard and all payment methods. There is no KYC for the account either.
What crypto do I get paid in?
Card payments are always paid out as USDC (USD Coin) on Polygon. Since USDC is pegged to the US dollar, you don't have to worry about price swings. Direct crypto payments are forwarded in the coin and on the network your customer paid with, for example USDT on Tron or USDC on Base.
What payment methods can my customers use?
